Cisco Tip of the Day: CatOS vs. IOS

For those of you confused between CatOS (set-based) software and IOS (native) software, let's look at how a Layer 2 VLAN is configured each way:


CatOS
set vlan 5

IOS
#configure terminal
(config)#vlan 5
(config-vlan)#exit
